A Digital Platform for Managing Professional Exams and Certifications

Context

A digital platform for managing professional examinations, certification workflows, and certificate verification. The platform supports organizations that create and deliver assessments, allowing them to manage exams, questions, answers, scoring rules, certificate templates, and participant access through a centralized administration system.

The core of the experience was the administration dashboard, designed to support different types of administrators with different responsibilities and permissions, including external organizations involved in managing or delivering assessments. From the dashboard, administrators can create exams, define questions and answer options, configure correct and incorrect responses, set rules such as time limits, attempts, and eligibility conditions, and connect each assessment to the appropriate certificate template.

The experience also covers the journey beyond the exam itself. Administrators can distribute exam links to participants, monitor exam and certification status, manage issued certificates, and provide a clear mechanism for verifying their authenticity. The challenge was to make a complex operational system understandable and manageable while supporting the many rules, roles, states, and workflows involved in the certification process.
