From a Fragmented Design History to One Identity
Excerpt: A law firm turned years of fragmented design decisions into one coherent visual identity and a system built to remain usable beyond the original designer.

Client identity and visual materials are kept confidential. Selected visuals are presented for illustrative purposes only.
Context
A law firm had worked with different designers over the years, with each period producing the materials needed at the time: official documents, presentations, client profiles, communication materials, and other day-to-day assets. Each piece served its purpose, but the accumulated result was a visual identity shaped by different decisions rather than one consistent system.
The work began by reviewing this design history and identifying what could be retained, refined, or removed. Instead of simply creating another visual layer, I defined a more focused identity and built a complete system around it, covering typography, colors, layout principles, official documents, presentations, profile materials, visual resources, and a broader design system for future work.
A key part of the project was making the identity sustainable beyond my own involvement. Files, components, guidelines, and design resources were organized so that another designer or agency could take over the work without having to reconstruct the system from scratch. The goal was not only to create consistency today, but to prevent the same design gap from returning when the next person takes over.
